Hollywood’s Marxist Education Project

by Rich Carey on December 11, 2009

Some of our liberal comrades in Hollyweird are taking the battle of worldview to the next level.  Not content to merely entertain us, they want to mold and shape the minds of our America’s children by changing the curriculum in the public school system.

Excerpt from Michelle Malkin’s blog:

peoplespeakThe two most important questions for society, according to the Greek philosopher Plato, are these: What will we teach our children? And who will teach them? Left-wing celebrities have teamed up with one of America’s most radical historians to take control of the classroom in the name of “social justice.” Parents, beware: This Hollywood-backed Marxist education project may be coming to a school near you.

On Sunday, December 13, the History Channel will air “The People Speak” – a documentary based on Marxist academic Howard Zinn’s capitalism-bashing, America-dissing, grievance-mongering history textbook, “A People’s History of the United States.” The film was co-produced/written/bankrolled by Zinn’s Boston neighbor and mentee Matt Damon. An all-star cast of Bush-bashing liberals including Danny Glover, Josh Brolin, Bruce Springsteen, Marisa Tomei, and Eddie Vedder, will appear. Zinn’s work is a self-proclaimed “biased account” of American history that rails against white oppressors, the free market, and the military.

Whoever teaches the children has the nation, in one generation.
Atheists want Christians to have children, then as teachers the ‘academics’ work to shape and mold their minds during the education process, especially in college. Many young adults who enter college come out confused as to what they believe because through out this process they are challenged and taught theories as truth. Most of these theories are to remove God out of the equation. All in the name of ‘Higher Learning’.
What we as Christian parents should do is to prepare our children to be the voice of truth, to understand where wisdom ends and elitism starts.
I truly believe that the Education system is already being challenged plainly because of the internet. I heard a quote that when a person enters college, by the time they leave with a degree, that the information they learn as a freshman is already outdated.
It’s a good time to be alive, God’s people are awakening to the lies and the rhetoric. Maybe a degree from a university that is outdated when it’s signed and multiple thousands of dollars in debt with no job isn’t for everyone, and maybe our goal as parents is to seek God with our children on the way they should go. At this time, a degree does mean something and not all schools are bad, but I would guess that there is something new on the horizon that is going to even the playing field so to speak and bring a voice of hope to this coming generation. God is intelligence, the Creator of All things, He wants us to seek Him, but if that’s all we’re after, is to be smart, then we’ve missed it. ‘For He gives to His Beloved (that’s you and me) even when they sleep.’
